Coimbatore: In a recent initiative to boost voter turnout, AIADMK candidate Singai Ramachandran took to his Facebook page today to release a voter awareness video. The video comes amidst the ongoing parliamentary elections which started today in Tamil Nadu as part of the seven-phase Indian general elections. The last phase is scheduled for June 1, with results set to be announced on June 4. In his video, Ramachandran, who has already cast his vote, calls on all citizens to fulfill their democratic duty by voting. He particularly noted the excessive heat expected during the day and advised those with disabilities and the elderly to vote earlier in the day.
