Voting Begins in Valparai Amidst High Enthusiasm; Delay at Akkamalai Due to Technical Glitch

In Valparai, part of the Pollachi Parliamentary Constituency, voting started at 7 AM across 68 booths. A technical issue caused a 45-minute delay at booth No. 203, Akkamalai Estate.

Coimbatore: As the clock hit 7 AM, the hills of Valparai in the Coimbatore district witnessed the commencement of voting. Massive turnout is being observed as people eagerly exercise their democratic right. There are 68 polling stations facilitating the voting process in the area, reflecting a strong turnout from early hours.

However, a technical snag in the voting machinery at Akkamalai Estate, booth number 203, led to approximately 45 minutes of delay. Technical staff responded swiftly to rectify the issue, ensuring the voting process resumed smoothly.

In an inspiring turn of events, a 94-year-old woman cast her vote amidst these challenges, exemplifying the spirit of democracy.
