In anticipation of Chitra Pournami on April 23, which traditionally draws large crowds, the Forest Department announced yesterday that it would deploy drones for efficient crowd management and early detection of potential wildfires.
With the intense summer heat, the risk of wildfires in the forested areas increases. The drones, capable of carrying up to 10 kg, will be essential not only for monitoring but also for emergency medical deliveries.
