Elderly Woman Robbed of Gold Chain on Bus in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore, a 73-year-old woman named Pankajam was robbed of a 3-sovereign gold chain on a bus from Manis Theatre bus stop to RK Mill stop on April 22. The thief took advantage of the crowded bus.


Coimbatore: A distressing incident occurred on a public bus in Coimbatore where Pankajam, a 73-year-old resident of Peelamedu, lost her gold chain to a thief amidst the crowd. The elderly woman boarded the bus at Manis Theatre bus stop on April 22. During her journey, an unidentified person exploited the crowded situation and snatched the 3-sovereign gold chain from her neck.

After alighting at the RK Mill stop, Pankajam realized that her chain was missing and was shocked to find it gone. Immediately, she reported the theft at the Peelamedu police station. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case and are currently searching for the suspect involved in this brazen act of theft.
