Coimbatore: As the summer heat intensifies across Tamil Nadu, the animal inhabitants of VOC Zoological Park in Coimbatore are finding solace in refreshing water baths. Environmental activists urge the public to place food and water on their terraces to aid birds during this scorching weather.




At VOC Zoo, several species, including birds, can be seen delighting in the water-filled troughs provided by the zoo staff. The initiative helps mitigate the effects of the heatwave on these animals. Workers are actively involved in spraying water over the birds, who appear to relish the cool respite from the relentless sun. The simple act of splashing water not only refreshes the birds but also provides a spectacle of joy and relief for visitors.
