Pollachi Jayaraman Criticizes Tamil Nadu Government, Calls It A Hub For Drug Export

Pollachi Jayaraman criticizes the Tamil Nadu government, alleging that the state has become a major exporter of drugs worldwide, akin to Switzerland in watch exports.

Coimbatore: The former Deputy Speaker, Pollachi Jayaraman, has publicly accused the Tamil Nadu government of transforming the state into a global hub for drug smuggling. In a recent press address, amidst the inauguration of an AIADMK-sponsored 'Neer More' pandal in Pollachi, Jayaraman castigated the prevailing administration for failing the public by not fulfilling the promises made over past three years, calling out the DMK's inability to deliver on 525 commitments.

According to Jayaraman, rampant corruption, and an increase in illegal activities such as smuggling of natural resources like sand and gravel have been on the rise. He also highlighted the escalating cost of living due to increases in electricity tariffs and property taxes, suggesting that such issues will provoke a significant public reaction in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

He controversially compared Tamil Nadu's rise as a drug exporter to Switzerland's prominence in the watch industry, stating that just as Switzerland is known for watches, Tamil Nadu is allegedly becoming notorious for drug exports on a global scale.
