Coimbatore: Dozens of sanitation workers employed at Othakalmandapam Town Panchayat in Coimbatore District have raised serious allegations against local authorities. Accusing the officials of treating them like slaves and verbally abusing them, the workers appealed to the district administration for urgent intervention. On April 30, they submitted a petition at the district collector's office.
The petition not only highlighted instances of mistreatment but also pushed for part-time work, permanent positions, and other improvements in their employment conditions.
