This comes as a response to the falling water levels at Azhiyar Dam, which consequently affected the water output. As the main water source for all 36 wards of Pollachi municipality, the Amberamabalaipalayam river processes and delivers drinking water to the public. Subbaiah stated that everyone must conserve water to cope with this scarcity.
