TNSTC has announced special bus services from May 3-5, targeting auspicious days and weekends, to facilitate travel to various destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, and Madurai.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) Director has released a statement detailing the operation of special buses on May 3, 4, and 5, in anticipation of auspicious days and the weekend holiday. Key destinations from Kilampakkam include Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tirupur.
According to the schedule, an additional 290 buses will operate on May 3, 365 buses on May 4, along with 55 buses from Coimbatore to places like Nagai, Velankanni, and Hosur on May 3 and 4. Additionally, to support the increased travel demands, 200 special buses will connect Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to various destinations.
On Sundays, special buses will also operate from several locations to facilitate passengers returning to Chennai and Bengaluru from their hometowns. On Friday, a total of 5827 passengers, on Saturday, 3831, and on Sunday, 6522 passengers have pre-booked their seats to avoid congestion.
Passengers are advised to make reservations through the TNSTC website at www.tnstc.in or through the mobile app to ensure a smooth travel experience. Adequate staffing has been ensured at all bus stations to oversee this special bus operation, ensuring efficient service to passengers making use of this facility.
