Entwining through the forests, valleys and dark winding tunnels the journey from Mettupalayam to Ooty via the historic toy train is denitely a bliss!
While the motorists can reach Ooty within a couple of hours from Mettupalayam, the snail pace journey from MTP takes half-a-day to reach the Queen of hills, but truly worth it!
'Well ahead of this season, the toy train tickets are completey blocked till June 30th, 2017', says Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR).
Shocked and disappointed by the news, the toursits have appealed the railway department to add additional coaches for the upcoming season time, so that more toursits could experience this one-of-a-kind opportunity.
