Coimbatore Courts to Observe Summer Recess from May 1 to May 31

Coimbatore courts have been declared a summer recess from May 1 to May 31, as ordered by the Chennai High Court. Special and urgent civil and criminal court sessions will continue as usual.

Coimbatore: Following the seasonal tradition, the courts in Coimbatore will observe a summer recess from May 1 to May 31, as per the directions issued by the Chennai High Court. This break applies to the District Principal and Additional Courts, Subordinate Courts, and Criminal Tribunals in Coimbatore, which will not conduct any regular sessions during this period. However, specialized and fast-track courts will operate normally.

In locations such as Mettupalayam, Annur, Sulur, Madukkarai, Pollachi, and Valparai, the magistrate courts will continue to function as usual. It is also noted that despite the recess, a summer court will operate to handle bail, anticipatory bail, and urgent civil and criminal cases. This court will conduct hearings one day per week on related petitions.
