Coimbatore: As the Nilgiris district prepares for the Summer Festival commencing on May 10, the Coimbatore Transport Corporation has rolled out a special tourist travel pass on May 4. Aimed at enhancing the travel experience, the pass is priced at Rs. 100 for adults and Rs. 50 for children. This allows tourists to explore various destinations without additional travel costs.
Upon acquiring this travel pass, tourists can enjoy unlimited rides to central bus stations, Thunder World, Boat House, Botanical Gardens, Doddabetta, Benchmark Tea Museum, and Rose Garden, among other attractions. Notably, travelers can switch buses and visit multiple sites throughout the day using the same pass.
Additionally, the Transport Corporation has also arranged for extra buses, including special services from the new Coimbatore bus station and Mettupalayam station. A notable feature is the bus service from Mettupalayam station to Ooty, which will operate a bus every five minutes, ensuring that tourists have frequent and convenient travel options.
