Free Athletic Training Camp at Udumalpet Government Arts College

Udumalpet Government Arts College in collaboration with the Tirupur Athletic Association is conducting a free athletic training camp for school and college students. The camp commenced on May 1.


Tirupur: A free athletic training camp for school and college students has been launched at Udumalpet Government Arts College, jointly organized by the college and the Tirupur Athletic Association. The initiative started on May 1 and targets nurturing young athletes in the region.



The inaugural event was led by the College Principal SK Kalyani, alongside RPR Shanmugasundaram, the President of the Tirupur Athletic Association, and Secretary Muthukumar. Distinguished guests included Satyam Babu, Udumalpet Cricket Coach Prabhakaran, Avatar Cricket Club's Parvees, and Anupam Surya Trust's President Shanmugapriya.



Athletics enthusiasts, walking club members, trainers, former college students, and college athletes joined the camp, with over 100 school and college students and their parents participating. Attendees are provided with milk and snacks twice daily by athletics enthusiasts.



The camp is a summer initiative by the Tirupur Athletic Association and the Physical Education Department of Udumalpet Government Arts College to promote athletic skills among the youth.
