Five new horses have been shifted from Chennai to Coimbatore mounted horse wing. The five new horses arrived at 8 am this morning to the PRS Grounds.
Dancing Duke (five year-old), Regimental Hero (four year-old), Scent of power (five year-old), Power of Liberty (four year-old) and Aviator (eight year-old) are the horses added to the existing mounted horse wing.
City Commissioner of Police, A. Amalraj visited the unit and the new horses that has been added newly.
The horses will used for patrolling in areas like Codissia, walking track in Race Course, and RS Puram areas. These new horses would help revive the unit, said the officials.
