About 150 students from Kumaraguru institutions were recognized for their excellence in various fields on 04 May 2024 during the 12th edition of Achievers Awards, held for the graduating Batch of 2020-2024.
Coimbatore: On May 4, 2024, the Kumaraguru institutions celebrated the 12th edition of the Achievers Awards, recognizing around 150 students for their exemplary performance in academics, sports, research, and social services.

These students, from the graduating batch of 2020-2024, showed outstanding commitment and dedication across various domains, continuing the legacy of excellence encouraged by Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, the founder chairman of the institutions.
Dr. Vijila Edwin Kennedy, welcoming the awardees, lauded their perseverance, involving late nights and significant sacrifices, which set them apart from their peers. She highlighted the important support roles played by the parents and emphasized the founder's vision as a continual inspiration for the awards. The ceremony was not just a celebration but also a reminder for the students to keep striving for greatness.
Shankar Vanavarayar, in his presidential address, spoke about the challenge of choosing the awardees from a large and talented student body. He noted that true achievement is an ongoing effort and described the awards event as a celebration of human potential, urging the students to aim for continued excellence. Highlighting the advancements in technology such as AI, Vanavarayar stressed the importance of preparing leaders capable of addressing global issues like poverty and climate change, inspiring students to become continuous contributors to society.
