TNAU to Host Training on Value Addition of Noni, Tomato, and Papaya

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore hosts a two-day training on value addition for Noni, Tomato, and Papaya on May 8-9, 2024, covering processing techniques for various products.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is set to organize a comprehensive two-day training session titled "Value Addition of Noni, Tomato, and Papaya" at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute. Scheduled for 08.05.2024 and 09.05.2024, the training aims to enhance skills in processing these fruits into several value-added products.

Participants will learn to transform Noni into products like juice, jam, squash, and pickle; Tomato into sauce, ketchup, puree, and paste; and Papaya into squash, jam, and tuti fruity. The session is designed for those interested in expanding their knowledge and practical skills in agricultural product processing.

The training will be conducted at the Centre for Post Harvest Technology, which is located inside the Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-641003. The venue is accessible via Marudhamalai road, with the nearest bus stop being Gate no.07, opposite the Botanical garden.

For enrollment, participants are requested to pay a fee of Rs.1,770, which includes GST, on the first day of training.
