'College Dreams' Initiative Supported by Coimbatore District Collector at Pollachi

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati led the College Dreams event in Pollachi, aiding Class 12 students with higher education guidance under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme.


Coimbatore: In an empowering educational initiative titled 'College Dreams', held at Mahalingam Engineering College in Pollachi, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati presided over a significant event guiding Class 12 students towards higher education pathways, following the ambitious Naan Mudhalvan scheme. The event took place today, May 9, 2024, and witnessed extensive participation.


The workshop was specifically organized to motivate and prepare students for college education by providing them with necessary guidance and resources. Notably, the District Collector distributed specialized guidebooks that aim to help students make informed decisions regarding their academic careers.



Participation at the event was noteworthy, with the presence of local dignitaries including Pollachi Sub-Collector Catherine Saranya, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sreenidhi, and various educational and administrative personnel such as the secretary of the engineering college, Ramasamy, and District Chief Educational Officer Balamurali.


During his speech, Kranthi Kumar Pati emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring 100% enrollment of Class 12 graduates into higher education institutions and outlined various steps being undertaken to facilitate this under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme.


The event also underscored the importance of higher education as a tool for both personal and economic growth, while specialists from various fields provided insights into educational opportunities in engineering, medicine, arts, science, and law, aiming to inspire and direct young minds towards fulfilling and rewarding careers.
