Vaccination Camp for Hajj Pilgrims from Coimbatore

A three-day vaccination camp is held at District Health Office, Race Course area, Coimbatore for 354 pilgrims embarking on the Hajj. The camp includes various health check-ups and vaccinations.


Coimbatore: A special vaccination and health check-up camp has been organized at the District Health Office in the Race Course area of Coimbatore for pilgrims heading for the Hajj pilgrimage.



The three-day camp, initiated by the Tamil Nadu government, started today and will run until May 15.



This camp aims to prepare the pilgrims for their sacred journey by providing necessary vaccinations, including the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine, especially for 49 individuals above the age of 65.



On the first day, 120 pilgrims received their vaccinations, followed by 119 on the second day, and 115 are scheduled for the final day, totaling 354 pilgrims.



The camp also offers diabetes and blood pressure screenings to ensure that all pilgrims are fit for the pilgrimage.
