In Coimbatore, three individuals were arrested near Saibaba Colony for possessing drugs including narcotics pills and ganja during a sudden police raid on May 13.
Coimbatore: A swift police operation led by Inspector Saravanan and Sub-Inspector Rajkumar near Saibaba Colony in Maniam Velappan Street, Coimbatore, resulted in the arrest of three individuals on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrests took place during a surprise check on the evening of May 13.
As the suspects were intercepted while riding two bikes, the police discovered 2 grams of narcotic drugs, 1000 pills weighing 100 grams, 100 grams of Ganja, and 6 syringes among their possessions. Following the search, those apprehended were Gunasekaran, 24, from Goundampalayam, Samundeeswari Nagar, Santosh alias Vishal, 29, from Idaiyar Palayam, Saravana Nagar, and Duraisamy from Venkittapuram, Sastry Road. Further investigations revealed multiple prior cases registered against the trio. The bikes, drugs, pills, and syringes were seized, and the accused were later presented in court and remanded to custody.
