Coimbatore: A distressing road accident led to a young man's death when a private tour bus collided with him near the entrance of Mettupalayam bus station on the 13th of this month. Identified by an auto driver, Mohammad Asif, the police were alerted and the injured man was rushed to the Mettupalayam government hospital, where he was declared dead.

Upon investigation, police discovered from CCTV footage that a bus, operated by Sam Travels and regularly running between Bangalore and Ooty, was involved in the accident.
