G.Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital in Coimbatore conducted the 2nd CME of ARTT TN on 19 May 2024, spotlighting advances in radiation therapy technology.
Coimbatore: G.Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH), a multi-speciality hospital, hosted the 2nd Annual Symposium of the Association of Radiation Therapy Technologists of Tamil Nadu (ARTT TN - 2024) on May 19, 2024. The theme for this year was “Advances in Radiation Therapy Technology – From Theory to Realityâ€.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ragupathy Velusamy, CEO, along with Dr. G. Manoharan, CMO of GKNMH. The symposium took place on the hospital premises with the support of the organising team and association office bearers.
The scientific conference welcomed 200 delegates from various medical hospitals and teaching institutes across the state. Lectures were delivered by eminent Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Radiotherapy Technologists. These speakers, representing distinguished medical institutions in Coimbatore, covered a variety of topics concerning recent innovations and the latest technologies in cancer radiation treatment.
Radiation therapy technologists play an essential role in cancer care, working alongside Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to provide treatment that is highly sophisticated, safe, and precise.
