TASMAC employees demand alternate employment due to closure of shops

Close to 10,000 employees who were working in TASMACs have alleged that the have lost their livelihood due to closure of 3339 shops across Tamil Nadu.



In Coimbatore, around 153 TASMACs shops have been closed and employees of these TASMACs who are also members of CITU (Centre for trade union) have requested District Collector T.N. Hariharan to provide them with alternative employment.

Employees have also alleged that the officials are yet to collect the keys of the closed TASMACs hence they have are forced to stay in the shops every night to secure the stock.

TASMAC employees who have lost their jobs across Tamil Nadu have put-forth their plea to the State  government demand for alternate employment.
