Coimbatore: The famed mountain train service, connecting Mettupalayam and Ooty, which holds UNESCO recognition, is back on track today. The service had been suspended since May 18 due to a landslide and falling rocks that damaged the tracks between Kallar and Adderly stations. This disruption was caused by continuous heavy rainfall. After four days of repair and clearance work, the train service recommences, bringing joy to tourists keen to experience the scenic journey through the hills.
