Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran inspected the implementation of a ready-made bridge with drains at Lanka Corner, Coimbatore, aimed to prevent traffic congestion due to waterlogging.

Coimbatore: In an effort to address the perennial issue of waterlogging and the resultant traffic bottlenecks, a ready-made bridge integrated with drainage facilities is nearing completion at Lanka Corner in Coimbatore. Initiated three days ago, the project has already achieved a hundred percent of the planned work.

Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran visited the site on May 22 to oversee the ongoing work and urged the rapid completion of the structures, ensuring efficient water runoff and smoother traffic flow during the monsoon season. The construction of this small-scale bridge is part of a series of initiatives to enhance infrastructure responsiveness to weather-related challenges in the city.
