In Coimbatore's Chinnavedampatti, two children were electrocuted while playing on a slide in Raman Vihar's park. A case has been filed against three individuals including the electrician.
Coimbatore: A tragic incident occurred in the park of 'Raman Vihar,' an apartment complex owned by the Indian Army, located near Saravanampatti in Coimbatore. On the 23rd of this month, while playing on a slide, Jayan Reddy, 6, from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, and Vyoma Priya, 8, from Kotagiri, Nilgiris district, were electrocuted and lost their lives.
The complaint filed by Balasundar prompted the Saravanampatti Police to investigate the matter, which led to the discovery of negligence causing the mishap. Subsequently, a case under section 304A was registered on May 25 against the electrician, Siva, 29, from Dindigul, and contractors Murugan, 45, from Saravanampatti, and Srinivasan from Vadavalli, for causing death by negligence.
