"Dressing up like Hindu Gods and Goddesses and begging defames the religion" say Shakthi Sena members.

Members of the Sakthi Sena political party today filed a petition to the District Collector condemning the people who dress themselves as Gods and beg in the streets. They urged the District Collector to ban such acts.

Dressed like Gods, these petitioners briefed to the press that, 'We condemn the people who beg for money by dressing like Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Mostly, those people are not Hindus but belong to other religions.

This act hurts not only hurts our religious feelings but also brings defame to our Hindu Gods. However, we are not against the people who beg for their living but disguising themselves as Gods and begging, is condemnable'. the petitioners said.

The attire of the petitioners garnered public attention widely at the Collectorate.
