Tree Falls on Valparai Pollachi Road, Disrupts Traffic for Two Hours

A tree fell on the Valparai-Pollachi road near Waterfall Estate, disrupting traffic for approximately two hours. Emergency services removed the tree restoring normalcy.


Coimbatore: A large tree fell across the Valparai-Pollachi road near the Solai Curve by the Waterfall Estate yesterday, leading to a traffic halt for about two hours. Due to ongoing rain in the region, both local residents and tourists faced significant inconvenience.

Vehicles traveling from Valparai to Pollachi and vice versa were stuck, causing considerable delays.



Upon receiving the information, the Fire Service Department and Highway Department personnel deployed a JCB machine to remove the tree and clear the path.



Traffic was restored to normal post the removal of the tree debris.
