Panguni Utharam festival at Valparai fame Subramaniaswamy Temple.

Thousands of devotees took part in the Panguni Utharam festival at the Valparai fame Subramaniaswamy Temple. The festival was flagged off with a flag hoist on 6th April and concluded yesterday, the 10th April.



The five-day long festival had special poojas, yaga, devotional talks, entertainment programmes like mayilattam, karagattam, oyilattam and devotional music concerts. Competitions were also held for the youth and prizes were distributed. 



Following the last day of the festival, the car festival took place, yesterday. Lord Muruga, the deity was decorated in a silk attire with floral garlands and taken as a procession along the main streets of Valparai. The grand festival came to an end as crackers lit the entire hill station with sparkling colors.
