Prime Minister Modi Leads Cabinet Meeting to Assign Ministries

In a recent cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi in Delhi, ministries were reassigned to various ministers covering projects for the first 100 days and ongoing schemes.


New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently chaired a cabinet meeting where ministerial responsibilities were assigned and projects for the government's first 100 days were discussed. The meeting, which also covered parliamentary sessions and public welfare schemes, concretized plans and allocated departments among the cabinet ministers.




Among the significant allocations, Nitin Gadkari has been assigned the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for the third time, with Harsh Malhotra and Ajay Thamta appointed as ministers of state in the same ministry. Minister of External Affairs has been retained by S. Jaishankar.




Ashwini Vaishnaw has been given the Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology ministries. Defense Ministry remains with Rajnath Singh, and Finance Ministry stays with Nirmala Sitharaman. Piyush Goyal takes over the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Annapurna Devi has been allocated Women and Child Development, and J.P. Nadda remains the Health Minister.




Bhupender Yadav has been given the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Heavy Industries Minister will be K. Samy. Mansukh Mandaviya has been appointed as the Minister for Labor and Employment.




Telecommunications and development for Northeastern states were handed to Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Shobha has been appointed as the Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. Home and Cooperatives Ministries remain with Amit Shah. Finally, Dharmendra Pradhan retains authority over the Education and Skill Development sectors.




The cabinet reshuffle indicates a targeted approach towards key sectors critical for India's growth trajectory over the next 100 days and beyond.
