Minister TRB Raja during the 21st anniversary of Siruthuli Organization in Avinashi, Coimbatore, commits to the greening of the city aiming to increase forest cover to 33 Percentage.
Coimbatore: During the 21st anniversary celebration of the Siruthuli Organization held at a private college in Avinashi, Coimbatore, Minister TRB Raja, alongside Ministers Muthusamy and MP Swaminathan, addressed the efforts towards environmental sustainability in Tamil Nadu.
"We have achieved a complete victory in greening, and we will not stop here. I am working by following what I learned from my grandfather, the late Kalaignar Karunanidhi," remarked Minister Raja. He emphasized the DMK's campaign to plant over one million palm seeds, nurturing them to boost Tamil Nadu's forest cover from the existing 23.8% to 33%.
"Our goal under the DMK governance is to convert Coimbatore into a region flourishing with greenery," stated TRB Raja, unveiling plans to expand the green cover substantially. Additionally, he shared updates on the revitalization of the Noyyal River and the expedited expansion of the Coimbatore Airport. Minister Raja encouraged the youth to comprehend and enter politics, showcasing a drive towards fostering a more environmentally conscious and actively participating youth demographic in the region.
