CCTV Captures Electric Pole Collapsing on Motorist in Coimbatore

In Coimbatore's Gandhinagar, an electric pole collapsed onto a motorist, causing injuries. The incident was recorded on CCTV near Sundarapuram on Pollachi Road.


Coimbatore: A shocking incident was captured on CCTV in Coimbatore, where an electric pole suddenly fell onto a moving motorist, causing severe repercussions. Early in the morning at around 8:45 AM yesterday, on the 7th Street of Gandhinagar near Sundarapuram on Pollachi Road, an electric pole toppled, hitting the motorcyclist.




The local residents, upon hearing the crash, rushed to the scene to assist the injured motorist, providing first aid promptly. Following the accident, the local electricity board was alerted, and necessary repair works were undertaken to prevent further hazards.






The CCTV footage highlighting the peril has been released to the public, warning against potential hazards during windy and rainy seasons. Residents of the area have urged electricity board officials to inspect the structural integrity of poles regularly to avoid such dangerous incidents in the future.
