Farmers' Grievance Day Meeting Held at Coimbatore District Collector Office

Today (29.06.2024), at the Coimbatore District Collector's Office, a special meeting was conducted to address farmers' issues led by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS.


Coimark: Today, the Coimbatore District Collector's office hosted a critical meeting for farmers to address their grievances under the supervision of District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS. At the meeting, various agricultural concerns were discussed, highlighting the imminent conflict arising from a government plan to develop a sports stadium on agricultural lands in Ondipudur, currently employed for farming.





Attending the meeting besides the Collector were Deputy Director of Agriculture Venkatachalam, Assistant Director of Anaimalai Tiger Reserve Parkava Teja, IFS, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies Azhagiri, Assistant Director of Horticulture Mrs. Bhuvaneswari, and Special Assistant (Agriculture) to the District Collector Mrs. Mallika. Each member contributed to the multifaceted discussion on safeguarding farmer interests and wildlife conservation strategies.
