GK Vasan Urges Transparency in Kallakurichi Incident by DMK Government

During a conference in Coimbatore, Tamil Maanila Congress leader GK Vasan highlighted the need for government transparency in the Kallakurichi incident and discussed various state issues.

Coimbatore: Tamil Maanila Congress leader, GK Vasan, addressed the need for transparency from the DMK government concerning the Kallakurichi incident during the Kongu region consultative meeting held at a private hotel in Coimbatore. GK Vasan emphasized the government's role in ensuring public safety and addressing grievances transparently.

The party leader also touched on multiple pressing state issues, including recurring accidents and fatalities in fireworks factories. He called on the government to ensure such incidents are prevented and to take more significant steps towards complete alcohol prohibition in the state, reflecting on the association of illegal liquor sales with numerous deaths.

He confirmed his party's request for a CBI investigation into the matter, expressing concern over why the government hesitates to involve the central agency. Vasan claimed that the lack of commitment to executing election promises on NEET exams and the state's alcohol policy are seen as betrayals by the government.

In conclusion, Vasan articulated the ideal of 'Sengol', emphasizing the need for righteous and principled governance and criticized the current administration for its shortcomings and opaque handling of the NEET issue and alcohol prohibition.
