Educational Initiative by Bishop Ambrose College and Carmel Garden Public School Celebrated in Coimbatore

Dr. Thomas Aquinas emphasized providing education for all, during a celebration at Bishop Ambrose College, Coimbatore, marking the autonomy of the college and CBSE accreditation for Carmel Garden Public School.

Coimbatore: In a celebration held at Bishop Ambrose College, Dr. Thomas Aquinas, the Principal of the college and Chairman of the Diocesan Schools, officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking significant milestones for both the college and the associated Carmel Garden Public School.

The event commemorated the grant of autonomy to Bishop Ambrose College starting 2024, enhancing its educational standards to meet future needs. Similarly, Carmel Garden Public School has recently received CBSE accreditation, a cause for celebration among students and parents.

Dr. Aquinas addressed the attendees, highlighting that the autonomy was sought to tailor educational programs that meet the specific future needs of students and to continue providing quality education to underserved communities. “Our mission in the Diocese is to serve, and in doing so, education is our primary goal. We aim to bring education to all layers of society without commercializing it, reducing fees for the lower economic sections," said Dr. Aquinas.

The ceremony included special addresses by Chief Priest John Joseph Stanis and a welcoming speech by Secretary Father R.D.E. Jerome. Principal Dr. A. Peter Raj, School Principal Usha Rani, and responsible for the Roman Catholic Schools, Arokia Dass, along with Coimbatore Diocesan Treasurer Anthony Selvaraj, all shared their joy at the event.

Members of the RC community, priests, nuns, school and college vice-principals, deans, professors, and teachers were present, making the event a grand success.
