Manithaneya Makkal Katchi Stages Protest Demanding Full Prohibition in Ukkadam, Coimbatore

Members of the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi conducted a protest in Ukkadam, Coimbatore, demanding the implementation of complete alcohol prohibition. The demonstration took place in front of Valliyammai Bakery, where protestors spilled alcohol on the ground as a sign of protest.


Coimratore: In a striking display of opposition against alcohol, the members of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi held a protest in Ukkadam, Coimbatore, advocating for total alcohol prohibition. The demonstration occurred on July 2, in front of Valliyammai Bakery, where protesters dramatically poured alcohol onto the ground as a symbol of their demand.



Secretary of the district unit, Ibrahim, led the protest. Prominent party spokesperson Palanibaaruk and state representative Akbar also participated, delivering speeches that criticized the government's policies on alcohol and urged for a statewide prohibition to be enforced.



The protest highlights the ongoing stance of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi against alcohol consumption and their continuous efforts to push for legislations banning the sale and consumption of alcohol in Tamil Nadu.
