The demonstration occurred on July 2, in front of Valliyammai Bakery, where protesters dramatically poured alcohol onto the ground as a symbol of their demand.

Secretary of the district unit, Ibrahim, led the protest. Prominent party spokesperson Palanibaaruk and state representative Akbar also participated, delivering speeches that criticized the government's policies on alcohol and urged for a statewide prohibition to be enforced.
