Information emerged on July 2 that Mayor Anandakumar has sent her resignation letter to the top echelons of the DMK. While rumors are rife about her resignation, Kalpana Anandakumar is currently in Chennai reportedly for medical treatment. However, as of now, the Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation has not officially received her resignation letter.
