Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati led a special grievance redressal meeting for former military personnel and their families on July 3 at the Collector's Office gathering hall.
Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Collector’s office hosted a special grievance meeting for veterans and currently serving military personnel, chaired by District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, on July 3. The event was conducted in the public grievance meeting hall located at the premises.
The session witnessed participation from a diverse group, including Major Roopa Subbulakshmi (Retd.), head of Former Military Personnel Welfare, and Captain Srikant Raj (Retd.), along with numerous other government officials.
Participants, comprising ex-servicemen from the Coimbatore district, serving personnel, and their families, presented 27 requests covering employment opportunities, free residential land ownership pattas, special funds for housing, water connections, and employment loans. On receiving these petitions, the District Collector instructed the officials to review the applications immediately and expedite solutions for the eligible ones.
The initiative highlights the administration's commitment to addressing the concerns and needs of the military community effectively and promptly.
