Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Farmers' Association held a protest demonstration near Udumalpet in Tiruppur district, condemning the fraudulent registration of land worth Rs 15 crore at the Kaniyur sub-registrar office.
The sub-registrar office in Kaniyur, Madathukulam, near Udumalpet, has been accused of irregularities in land registration. Complaints have emerged that Sub-registrar Palanisamy has been accepting bribes and favoring the ruling party in land registrations.

In a shocking incident, property worth Rs 15 crore belonging to Kalaichelvi, wife of Nadaraj from nearby Thungavi village, and their son Vijayaraja, was fraudulently registered in the name of Rajamani, wife of Durairaja. The sub-registrar is alleged to have colluded in this fraudulent transaction.
The protest, organized by the All India Farmers' Association, demanded the cancellation of the fraudulently registered documents and the immediate removal of the Kaniyur sub-registrar. Farmers affected by the sub-registrar's actions joined the demonstration, raising slogans against the sub-registrar and the Tamil Nadu government.
