Driver's throat slit in brutal murder near Kinathukadavu

A 32-year-old driver from Sundarapuram, Coimbatore was found murdered with his throat slit on Vadachithur-Chettipalayam Road. Police are investigating the motive behind the killing.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old driver was brutally murdered near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district. The victim, identified as Prabhakaran from Sundarapuram, was found with his throat slit inside his vehicle on the Vadachithur-Chettipalayam Road.

According to initial reports, two unidentified individuals had hired Prabhakaran's vehicle earlier in the day. As they were traveling along the Vadachithur-Chettipalayam Road, the assailants suddenly attacked Prabhakaran, slitting his throat before fleeing the scene.



The crime came to light when passersby noticed the vehicle parked on the roadside for an unusually long time. Upon checking, they were shocked to discover Prabhakaran's lifeless body inside and immediately alerted the Negamam police.

Upon receiving the information, police teams rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. They have deployed sniffer dogs to track down the culprits and are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify the suspects.

A case has been registered, and the police are exploring various angles to determine the motive behind the murder. They are also questioning locals and gathering information about any potential conflicts or enmities the victim may have had.

The brutal nature of the crime has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing concern over the safety of drivers who often transport strangers. Police have assured the public that they are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
