Farooq, a member of the Dravida Vidudhalai Kazhalagam was brutally murdered on 16th March 2017 near Ukkadam.
Ansrath (27), Sadam Hussain (32) and Shansudheen (31) all three residents of Podanur surrendered in the Court in connection with this murder, following this the police also arrested six other people suspecting involvement in the murder.
Tamilnadu DGP has passed orders to shift this murder case to CBCID. And, also deputed CBCID DSP Velan as Special Officer to investigate this case.
