DMK District Secretary N. Karthik Appears in Coimbatore Court for Book Distribution Case

N. Karthik, DMK District Secretary of Coimbatore, appeared in court on July 9 regarding a case of distributing Kalaignar's book "Oyyara Kondaiyaam Thazhampoovaam" to the public in Papanaickenpalayam.


Coimbatore: N. Karthik, the DMK District Secretary of Coimbatore and former MLA, appeared at the J.M. 1 Court in Coimbatore on the morning of July 9. The court appearance was in connection with a case filed for distributing the book "Oyyara Kondaiyaam Thazhampoovaam" written by the late DMK leader and former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, to the public in Papanaickenpalayam area.

Karthik was accompanied by several DMK functionaries and lawyers. Among those present were Barani K. Bagyaraj, Secretary of Papanaickenpalayam area, R. Manikanandan, a DMK general committee member, and lawyers Augustus and P. Krishnamoorthy.

The DMK's legal team was well-represented with the presence of Anbu Chezhiyan, the organizer of the city district lawyers' team, and Marudhu Pandian, the president of the city district lawyers' team. Other lawyers present included Saravanan, N.R. Vikram, Muthu Vijayan, Kannan, Salahudeen, C.N. Chandran, Kumanan, Manivel, Rajamanickam, Chandramohan, Venkatasalam, Muruganantham, Vinoth, Prabhakaran, Stephen, Chinnathurai, Madhavan, Elizabeth Rani, Kalaivani, and Mohankumar.

Several other DMK functionaries were also present to show their support, including V. Mani, the organizer of the weavers' wing, Town P. Anandan, the ward secretary, and numerous other party executives and members.
