Law and Order Not Under DMK Government's Control - Vanathi Srinivasan MLA

Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South, criticizes CM Stalin's speech at Dharmapuri, highlighting issues with law and order under DMK rule. She refutes claims of central government bias against Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South constituency, has issued a statement on July 12 responding to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's speech at a government function in Palayam Puthur Government Higher Secondary School, Dharmapuri district.

In her statement, Vanathi Srinivasan countered the Chief Minister's claims that opposition parties are jealous of the DMK government's performance. She pointed out that Stalin has been criticizing the central government for the past three years since becoming the Chief Minister.

Srinivasan highlighted the developments in Tamil Nadu during the 10-year BJP rule at the center, including highways, expressways, flyovers, metro rail projects, new medical colleges, and railway infrastructure improvements. She mentioned that projects like the Coimbatore airport expansion and the new Chennai airport were not fully implemented due to lack of cooperation from the state government.

The MLA emphasized that the central BJP government treats all states equally, without discrimination between BJP-ruled and non-BJP-ruled states. She explained that fund allocation to states is based on the recommendations of the Central Finance Commission, and after the implementation of GST, the power to levy taxes is equally shared between the central government and all states.

Vanathi Srinivasan attributed the DMK's electoral victory to the division among opposition parties rather than popular support. She criticized the law and order situation under the DMK government, citing incidents like the Kallakurichi tragedy and the murder of the state leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Armstrong, as evidence that law and order is not under the DMK government's control.
