As part of the demonstration, union members gathered in front of the BSNL office near the District Collector's office in Coimbatore.
The protesters put forth several demands, including a monthly pension of Rs. 3,000 for retirees aged 60 and above, implementation of election promises regarding pension amount increases, and the establishment of ESI (Employees' State Insurance) medical facilities for unorganized sector workers.
