Deputy Mayor Inspects Road Construction Work on Coimbatore-Palakkad Highway

Coimbatore Deputy Mayor R. Vetri Selvan inspected the ongoing tar road construction work on the Coimbatore-Palakkad main road on July 23. The inspection aimed to assess the progress of the road improvement project.


Coimbatore: Deputy Mayor of Coimbatore, R. Vetri Selvan, conducted an inspection of the ongoing road construction work on the Coimbatore-Palakkad main highway on Sunday, July 23. The visit was aimed at assessing the progress of the tar road laying project, which is currently underway to improve the connectivity between the two cities.

The Deputy Mayor was accompanied by Ilanjekeran, the ward council member of Ward 93, during the inspection. Together, they closely examined the construction activities and the quality of work being carried out on this crucial stretch of road.



The Coimbatore-Palakkad highway is a vital transportation link connecting Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The ongoing road improvement project is expected to enhance the quality of the road surface, ensuring smoother and safer travel for commuters and freight vehicles plying between the two states.
