Elephant Calf breaks the ceiling and lands in the living room of a house in Gudalur, locals horrified.

An unbelievable horrifying incident has caused panic among the residents of Gudalur, Nilgris District, as an elephant calf slipped off and fell into a house by breaking the ceiling of the house. Fortunately, no one was critically injured including the calf.

Janamala is a resident of Kozhipalam, Gudalur. She lives with her family and a 6 months old baby. Janamala's house is situated in a low-lying area amidst greenery. Today morning, Janamala was busy with her household chores without knowing the worst nightmare is about to happen. Janamala was horrified as she heard a loud bang of noise from her home. She couldn't believe her eyes, as her living room ceiling which was made of cement sheet crumbled to pieces and an elephant calf jumped into the living room.

Janamala was gobsmacked for a moment and rushed out of her house with her 6-month-old baby. Hearing her cry, the residents nearby rushed to recuse her and the baby. Seeing the sight of the elephant calf in the living room, the rescuers also stood speechless.

The elephant calf roamed all over the house and damaged the property and gulped the grains, fruits and vegetables in the house. After a tricky fight, the residents chased the calf back into the forests.

It is reported that Janamala sustained mild injuries and struck in a mental shock after the horrifying incident. She along with her baby is presently undergoing treatment at the Gudalur Government Hospital. An elephant breaking the ceiling and jumping into a residence and landing up in a living room is something many of us wouldn't even have heard of, definitely it would be a lifetime nightmare Janamala.
