Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner's Request to Media Professionals for Council Meeting

Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran has issued a press release on July 25, outlining guidelines for media professionals attending the upcoming ordinary council meeting. The meeting is scheduled for July 26, 2024 (Thiruvalluvar Year 2055, Adi 10) at 10 AM in the Victoria Hall Conference Room within the Corporation's main office complex.

In his statement, Commissioner Prabhakaran has made a specific request to journalists and media personnel. He has permitted photography and videography only for the first ten minutes after the council meeting begins. Following this initial period, media representatives are required to be seated in the designated rear row seats allocated for them.

The Commissioner has emphasized that during the council proceedings, media personnel should refrain from moving forward from their assigned seats or capturing photographs or videos of council members speaking. He has appealed for cooperation in maintaining the dignity of the council meeting.

"I kindly request everyone's cooperation in preserving the decorum of this council meeting," stated Commissioner Prabhakaran, urging media professionals to adhere to these guidelines while gathering news during the council proceedings.
