Coimbatore Lakes Protection Association invites volunteers for a cleanup and maintenance field work at Vellalore Lake bund and dense forest areas on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Lakes Protection Association has issued a call for volunteers to participate in a cleanup and maintenance field work at the Vellalore Lake bund and dense forest areas. The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

The association extended this invitation to volunteers from Coimbatore on Wednesday, July 26, emphasizing the importance of community participation in preserving local water bodies and surrounding areas. This initiative aims to improve the cleanliness and maintenance of these crucial ecological zones.

Vellalore Lake, an important water body in Coimbatore, has been facing various environmental challenges. Regular maintenance and cleanup activities are essential to preserve its ecosystem and ensure its longevity. The dense forest areas around the lake also play a vital role in maintaining the local biodiversity and require periodic attention.

Volunteers participating in this event will contribute to the preservation of Coimbatore's natural resources. The field work is expected to include activities such as removing garbage, clearing invasive plants, and basic maintenance tasks around the lake bund and forest areas.

The Coimbatore Lakes Protection Association encourages interested individuals to come forward and be part of this eco-friendly initiative. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and bring any necessary personal protective equipment.
