Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated a free special medical camp under the "Kalaignar's Varumun Kappom" scheme at a government high school in Nanjiyampalayam, Dharapuram.
Tirupur: A free special medical camp under the "Kalaignar's Varumun Kappom" scheme was held today at the Government High School in Nanjiyampalayam Panchayat, Dharapuram Union, Tirupur district.

The camp was inaugurated by N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, Minister for Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare, in the presence of S.V. Senthilkumar, Chairman of Dharapuram Panchayat Union Committee, and Dr. Thenmozhi, Chief Medical Officer of Ponnapuram Block.
Speaking at the event, Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj highlighted the various welfare schemes implemented by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's government. She mentioned initiatives such as free bus travel for women and the monthly incentive of Rs. 1,000 for women, emphasizing their positive impact on the public.
The Minister also discussed the expansion of the breakfast scheme in government schools, which has now been extended to government-aided schools. She stated that the DMK government is implementing numerous beneficial programs for the people.

As part of the medical camp, medicine kits were distributed to elderly people and patients, while nutrition kits were provided to pregnant women.

The camp offered free medicines and tablets for various ailments under the "Varumun Kappom" scheme.

The event saw participation from Nanjiyampalayam Panchayat President Rajinikanth, DMK executives, and a large number of local residents.
