Vanathi Srinivasan MLA urges CM Stalin to speak truth about central schemes

Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan challenges CM M.K. Stalin's claims about central government neglect, highlighting numerous welfare schemes benefiting Tamil Nadu over the past decade.

Coimbatore: Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to speak the truth about central government schemes benefiting the state. In a Facebook post on July 27, she criticized the Chief Minister for making unsubstantiated claims about the central government's neglect of Tamil Nadu.

Srinivasan questioned Stalin's assertion that the central government has cheated Tamil Nadu by not allocating funds or even mentioning the state's name. She argued that not mentioning a state's name doesn't necessarily mean it has been sidelined, pointing out that even during UPA rule, not all states were mentioned in budget presentations.

The MLA highlighted several central government schemes that have significantly benefited Tamil Nadu over the past decade under the National Democratic Alliance government. These include:

1. Mudra loan scheme, providing ₹2,49,179 crore worth of loans to Tamil Nadu.

2. Establishment of 11 medical colleges worth ₹2,145 crore, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a single day.

3. Over 44 lakh Tamil Nadu farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan scheme.

4. 11,47,060 poor people receiving new houses under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme.

5. More than 56 lakh Tamil Nadu women benefiting from the free LPG connection scheme.

6. Upgradation of 5 airports in Tamil Nadu under the UDAN scheme.

7. Allocation of 6 Vande Bharat trains to Tamil Nadu through central railway projects.

Vanathi Srinivasan challenged CM Stalin to deny these benefits and questioned whether his political animosity has blinded him to these facts. She urged the Chief Minister to focus on Tamil Nadu's progress instead of spreading misinformation for political gain.
