Coimbatore MP Inspects Stormwater Drain Works on Chinnavedam Patti Road

Coimbatore MP P. Ganapathi Rajkumar and Mayor R. Vetri Selvan inspected ongoing stormwater drain construction on Chinnavedam Patti Main Road in Ward 11 on July 27. The visit aimed to assess the progress of crucial infrastructure development.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Member of Parliament P. Ganapathi Rajkumar, accompanied by Mayor R. Vetri Selvan, conducted an inspection of the ongoing stormwater drain construction works on Chinnavedam Patti Main Road in Ward 11 of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation on July 27.

The inspection team closely examined the progress of the stormwater drain project, which is a crucial infrastructure development aimed at improving the city's drainage system and mitigating flood risks during heavy rainfall.



Several local officials and representatives joined the inspection, including North Zone Chairman Kathirvel, Ward 11 Councillor Siravai Siva (aka Palanisamy), North Zone Assistant Commissioner, Junior Engineer, Ward 21 Councillor Poonkodi Somasundaram, and Coimbatore North District Deputy Secretary Ashok Arukutti, among others.

The visit underscores the importance of the stormwater drain project in enhancing Coimbatore's urban infrastructure and the authorities' commitment to overseeing its proper implementation. The completion of this project is expected to significantly improve the area's ability to manage rainwater and prevent waterlogging issues during monsoon seasons.
